My trip to St. George!

Ok, randomly after a few things i ended up having 5 days off! So..i thought to myself..I am NOT sitting at home and doing nothing for 5 days! I am going somewhere. Well, my cousin Cassidy and her husband live in St. George. So Thursday night i call up my friend Andrea and ask her, and with life for us both it's been rough, we needed to go somewhere. She got her Saturday shift covered and Cassidy was up for the idea and so it was settled. We were officially off to St. Geezy! We left Saturday morning and headed down south. This all happened to so quick and it so unlike me, but my goodness was it SUCH a great, awesome, fun, random, spontaneous trip!!!

Instead of putting up pictures of our Colorado City trip, here is a video. ;)
Oooooooorrr, not. haha It wouldn't work, so I'm sorry. :P The pictures we took were all taken from inside the car, so they weren't very good, but we had a very educational drive in Colorado City. We called it our "Polygamist Safari".

Day 2: Cass and Cam both had to work so Andie and I went and explored Dixie Rock, went to the temple and went to lunch. :)

Andrea and I at Dixie Rock!

The St. George Temple

Day 3: Me, Cass, and Andie all just chilled in the morning and watched a movie. Then we went to lunch and then went on an old historical St. George walk looking at some of the older buildings there.

After lunch at The Pasta Factory!

Sad to be leaving. :(

Stopping at Beaver!! We just could NOT resist stopping at the famous rocking chair!
After we got home...to a FREEZING 40 degrees. :( Normally 40 is warm for us fellow northern Utahns...but coming from St. George that hit like 72 while we were there(hence, why Andrea is wearing shorts haha), 40 is FREEZING! This is us looking chilly!

Well, we had SO much fun! Thanks Cass and Cam for letting us crash with ya! We will be back soon hopefully! This trip was so awesome!

To begin...2011

To begin i just would like to say that I've lost 15 pounds in the last few months. Not really sure how...stress maybe. ha! Well, i don't really care other than tonight, i tried on some old pants i had hidden away thinking i would never wear them again...and guess what?! they TOTALLY fit!!! Yay! I definately still have a ways to go but, i'm happy that i've made it this far!
Also, i started school last week. I am only taking two classes so i can work more to be able to pay for school. I am taking Typography and Layout Design, and Geology! Pretty much i am hoping i ROCK this semester!! :) Wish me luck. How much longer do i have left you ask...(you know, since i should be finished) Well, it really doesn't matter, right? I'm going, so thats all that counts for now.....right?? haha

Above is the Jordan River Temple. In earlier posts i had written that my goal last year i was going to go so baptisms once a month. That was a goal for Andrea and I. Again, it is my goal THIS year too! Blessed my life SO much more than i ever thought possible when i made it a goal last year. We also decided to try and go to every temple in Utah. We will see if that happens...BUT due to some cercumstances, we DID end up getting to go to the Jordan River temple on Saturday. :) Neither of us had been to it yet. VERY pretty! Inside and the grounds remind me a lot of Provo. Last month i went and did baptisms alone....it was just one of those times where SO much was going on...i needed to go. I went ALONE!! haha Never thought i could do it, but i did. And SO very grateful I was brave, because i really needed that trip.

Also,

I went to my 3 month hair appointment, and my bangs weren't actually supposed to be real bangs, but they got cut a BIT short and they looked funny swept off to the side, so until they grow out a bit i can either wear them back (which i like a lot these days!) or, have bangs. haha It's kinda fun and different for a couple weeks! Just so very unexpected!

Well, Life is pretty good right now. Nothing to complain about. :) EXCEPT.....the SNOW! And the FREEZING!! I hate it! We recently got our swim collection in at work. It made my whole day! haha I was so excited that summer was coming...and then i realized i still had a few months. Ah well!

Well, i love you all!

To end the year...

I don't really have a reason for posting, just that it has been a while, and I felt like i should express some gratitude. I am in love with life right now. I feel like it is going where it should go, and i LOVE that feeling. I am excited to see what 2011 has in store for me. I'm not too stoked for school to start again, but it will be nice at work again once Christmas drama is over. haha Although, January does bring on MANY returns...but once that mess is over...then we can breathe a little, and love our jobs again! haha

I just wanted to take some time to talk about my 2010 year. Beginning the year i was 24, and was very worried what being 25 would be like. Well, let's be real, it hasn't been much different other than i just tell people i'm a year older. But I've been through a lot this year. I have met SO many new people. I've had some dating fiasco's.......some good and some not so good. But that is life, right? If we don't keep going and keep making mistakes and choosing what we think is best for us, we will never learn. Sometimes life is going to hurt, and that is just the way it is.

But sometimes life is AMAZING!! And you never want it to end...We should always be grateful for our blessings! Always. I don't care how hard your life might be, there is always good for you to see...even if it feels so far away, it is there.

This year i made it a goal to go to the temple and do baptisms once a month. Well, i did miss like 3 or 4 months out of the year, but considering it was my first year, and a goal i made....i feel very accompished. My life got better when i would go. It sounds so fake...but really....it honestly did help me so much. It made me feel closer to my Heavenly Father and helped me see a better outcome for my life and helped me see beyond right now. :) I will keep this same goal for 2011, and hopefully i won't miss a month.

Life is SO great right now! I have SO much to be grateful for. Christmas is tomorrow. And I am so grateful for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for being put on this earth and for the example He was. I know He lives. And I know He loves us! I LOVE this gospel with all that i have in me. I would be nowhere without it.

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas! I LOVE you!
