Needing change to happen...

Do you ever just get so anxious for something new? I'm happy with life at the moment, but i need something new. I'm sick of the same old thing...ALL THE TIME! it's getting old. I am getting so impatient. Which isn't really me...I am pretty patient when it comes to most things, but i want something new! Okay, thats all...just thinking out loud! I need to hang with all my girls soon, school is almost done, we need to do lunch soon, i am not kidding! SOON!! (after finals of course) haha

At the moment...

This is my new favorite song and I don't know why, just thought I would share with you! :)

"She's a Lady" by Forever The Sickest Kids
(its #123 on my playlist...if you care to listen to it haha)

I'm in love with the girl I hate
She enjoys pointing out every bad thing about me.
I'm in love with a critic and a skeptic, a traitor
I'd trade her in a second.

She's a backseat driver, a drama provider
An instant update of the world.
She's a first class liar, a constant forgetter.
(She's attractive but bitter)

Did you scream enough to make her cry?
It's a turn around, turn around
Baby, don't return to me
If you think that I'm not worth your time.
She's a lady and ladies shouldn't be messed with.
She's a lady and ladies shouldn't be messed with.

Take off your shoes, come in the room
And baby, let's try not to argue.
Turn out the lights, turn on the radio
And how can we fight when
I'm too busy loving you?
I'm too busy loving you.
I'm too busy loving you.

Did you scream enough to make her cry?
It's a turn around, turn around
Baby, don't return to me
If you think that I'm not worth your time.
She's a lady and ladies shouldn't be messed with.
She's a lady and ladies shouldn't be messed with.

Here I am, there you go again (again)
And we will not ever be eighteen again (again)
And I'm worn out of fighting and every night you leave crying
And I could use some time
And here I am, and there you go again (again)...

So here I am and I'm dying
And I'm waiting for you, waiting for you.
Come back, come back to me
And I'll take you gladly and I'll take you in again.

Did you scream enough to make her cry?
It's a turn around, turn around
Baby, don't return to me
If you think that I'm not worth your time.
Did you scream enough to make her cry?
It's a turn around, turn around
Baby, don't return to me
If you think that I'm not worth your time.
She's a lady and ladies shouldn't be messed with.
She's a lady and ladies shouldn't be messed with.

So this year we went up to Aspen Grove for our Nilsen family easter party! It was so much fun!! I wish all of us could've been there...we missed Cass and Cam :( but we did all have a blast! I was SOOO close to winning out bowling tournament on the Wii...but oh well, its just a game. We also played Bunco which was a first for me cause I've never played it! I had fun though! We colored eggs and frosted cookies, ate yummy food, played musical chairs and did the hokey pokey...I LOOOOOVE my family! They are all the best people in the world and i am grateful to have all of them in my life! Here is some pics from the Easter Fun we had!
This is me AFTER the "big kids" got to go find their eggs outside in the RAIN!
Me coloring eggs!

The end of a rousing game of musical chairs!! Colton and Nickole ALWAYS make it to the last two. haha He ended up winning this time!

All of us playing the musical chairs version where everyone sits on everyone elses laps. haha

We Thank The O God For a Prophet

Oh how I love General Conference weekend! It is always so refreshing to hear the talks from all of the beloved men that are called from God to lead and guide us in our lives. I know the the sessions aren't officially over yet, but i felt like i should write this now and not wait. Today towards the end of the session, i had begun to notice that the talks given by Steven E. Snow and Jeffery R. Holland, and of course our amazing prophet Thomas S. Monson were all directed to me. I had felt the spirit so strong, and i knew that I should be grateful for hearing their words of comfort to me. I needed to hear what they had to say, questions and concerns which i have had for the past few months had been answered. And guidance had surely been brought into my life. Hollands talk especially helped me. As he went on to say that we are never alone, even when we feel like we are, we are not. I try to remind myself of that, but at times, it can be hard. Even when your surrounded by many people who love you, sometimes you still feel as if you are alone. Thomas S. Monson talked about turning our thoughts away from the troubles of the world, and only focusing on the blessings instead. We will be much happier people. And a positive attitude enables us to meet our challenges and get through it. "Fear not" he said, "be of good cheer, and heaven's blessings await us". Thats when it truly hit me how grateful i am for all that i have. Sometimes I get wrapped up in all my faults and things i could do better in my life, i forget that maybe its ok to just be happy with exactly who i am. So for those of you who tell me of my positive attitude all the time, you should know, it has not always been easy. It used to not come so easy...but i finally had to figure out the hard way that life is only hard when you make it harder. If you let the Lord in, he will lead you, guide you, and bring you blessings and lift the burdens which you bare. I know this because He is who gets me through EVERYTHING! I wouldn't be who I am with out Him. At the end of the first session today, the choir sang "We thank the O God for a prophet". And then they showed pictures of President Monson, oh i love him!! I couldn't hold it in anymore. My eyes started to water and tears of joy began to fall. Why am I sharing this you ask? I don't really know...but I don't bare my testimony very often in public, so when i get the impression to do so, i should probably do it. I am grateful for trials because trials bring me closer to the Lord. They make me humble and vulnerable to the promptings the spirit brings me....I am so grateful for all that i have. I mean that with all my heart. This is the only one true church. And I am so blessed to be apart of it. I was strengethend today and heard things i've been needing to hear for the past few months of getting through something...i'm grateful for the spirit and the comfort it ALWAYS brings! :)

Draper Temple Open House

Yesterday I had the opportunity to go see the new Draper, Ut Temple with (Aubrey, Todd, Me, and Brandon) I am so grateful I was able to go. I haven't been to an open house since I was 12, so it's been quite a while. It was cool to get to see every room and know the amazing things that happen there, that one day I will be able to experience that greatness for myself. I loved the Celestial room...it sparkled it was so pretty!! haha And the Bridal room was amzing as well! Oh! and of course the sealing room with the mirrors that show you eternity. I am so blessed
to be apart of this church and have this gospel in my life. I would be SO lost with out it. Today in sunday school we learned about personal revelation. And it is something that has been weighing on my mind for the last little while. I am so grateful to be able to have that in my life. It's hard to recognize sometimes, but I know that as I exercise my faith in Christ he will bless me and teach me to know the right decisions to make, even when they're hard. Well, I just wanted to share with you that I know this gospel is true. I know my Heavenly Father lives and loves me. I know I am beyond blessed each day for all that I have. Thank you all for being apart of my life. I love you.
