So, this last Saturday some friends and I and a bunch of random peopel I had never met ventured off to the Hot Pots in Midway! I have never been but i was super stoked! We all met aroud 8:30...by the time everone got there and we actually left is was like 9ish...haha Well, we ended up going to pick up this girl that our car had never met, she knew our friend AJ, but we had room in our car, so we picked her up. She lived in NIRVANA! haha We went through the gates of Nirvana...to get to her. Well, it was May 1st. It should have been AMAZING weather...but it was rainy and yucky...and the mor ewe got up the canyon, the more the rain turned into snow. Well, by this time, i was already so done in the car. haha Andie had been there once, but she wasn't all the way sure how to get there. Plus, we couldn't see a THING! It was a blizzard up there! Literally.
We finally find civilizatuon and stop at a gas station to ask for directions....well....they were the worst directions ever!!!! haha So, by this time, its after 10, and we're lost. We have NO idea where we are. We called our friends and they were lost too. So, we keep driving and we drive past a VERY nice hotel up there( i am blanking on the name though...but its a swiss hotel) He gave us WAY better directions. Well, once we got there, we realize we have already driven past this spot before. Oh man, if it wasn't for the weather...we would have found it earlier. By this time, it had stopped snowing/raining. So, we finally get there...and head down to the pots...IN MUD! Oh geez! We find our friends....and they have already been there for about 20 minutes...half hour...well, we're not there 10 minutes and they say, well, hey guys....i think we're gonna go! Our car was just like....alright. haha Bye i guess. So, they left. We stayed for a little while longer.
It was cool there. But kinda yucky. It stunk and was pretty hot! But, all in all i DID have fun! The car ride was a lot of fun though...even though we were lost! hahaha We made it a lot of FUN! After we got out we made our way BACK up the hill of MUD...which is very hard in flip-flops mind you...plus, it was dark. haha I just laughed, at this point i didn't care anymore. We got back in the car and made our way home. Our driver (John) got pulled over for passing a car on the right...oops! But he didn't get a ticket. :) We were all laughing SO hard! haha
Well, I decided...i need to go to the hot pots again. Maybe go earlier..so it's not 11 by the time we ACTUALLY get there! I will be more prepared this time...and also, hopefully the weather will be better by the time I go again. Bottom Line. This is one adventure I will never forget! haha Good times, good friends! Gotta love life! :D
