SAFETYSUIT and PARACHUTE!!!

So, last night I got to spend with my bestie Erin and Spencer and Cameron. We all to the Safetysuit/ Parachute concert! Wow! SafetySuit was as amazing as they are on cd's....you know a band is good when they're just as good live. It was just an all arounf FUN night. :) We ate at Costa Vida and then headed to the concert. It was just awesome! They company....the music....meeting the bands. :) I didn't wanna take my purse, so i didn't get to take pictures of them... :( I was pretty sad. It was at In the Venue, and if you've been there, it is REALLY small...so i would've been pretty close. Bottom line. Great music. Great Guy. Great friends. PERFECT night! :) I wish i could live it all over again. hahahaha

Holidays 2009!

Ok, so I am a terrible person and the only pics I took during our Thanksgiving fun was of our condo in St. George. haha They were SO nice, and I'm so glad we could all be there. (we missed Cass and Cam) But luckily they were able to come to Christmas! So my grandpa rented condos in St. George for our whole fam! It was so much fun! We all played basketball and raquetball and...tennis! We played rock band, ate, talked, ate...and ate more! It is Thanksgiving! Hello, that is what you're supposed to do! haha

Pics of our condo!

Christmas! We did the usual. Wake up at our house, open presents from Santa! The past few years i have had to do Santa alone, kind weird. Not gonna lie. But still cool I still get Santa. That's one perk i get for not being married yet. ;) haha I got a lot of good stuff. Thanks mom and dad!! I got a gps, clothes, purse, shoes, books, movies, rock band 2, glee cd's...good stuff i tell you! :) Then we all went to my grandma and grandpa's house after for lunch and more presents! The Sunday before christmas we always go to my Grandma Lamb's house and get together with my whole dad's side! There are SO many of us it is always so crazy! haha

Well, this has been one good year. I am so blessed! I have the best family ever! I can't believe in a few months i will be 25, it's just not real...seriously! In a way i wish i had more accomplished by now, but at the same time, im just enjoying being me and doing my best to get through life! I am happy and enjoying everything! Life is amazing! Never take it for granted. :) Happy New Year! Love you all!

My Mission Statement!

So, for my "Seven Habits of Highly Effective people" class we were asked to write a mission statement. At the end of the semester, she told me she really enjoyed mine and asked if she could use it to show future students an example of what a mission statement can be like...so, i decided, why not post it! (i wish it was in my cute font i did for my assignment, but sadly, it's not) Anyways, it took me a while to put this together adding things and taking things out, it was a process, but i'm happy with the result.

My Mission Statement: Jentrie Lamb

You have to know who you are, why you're here, and what you stand for.

Always have the attitude that nothing will be easy, and it's best to always try your best no matter what.

Don't compare yourself with those around you. Comparing only makes you feel lower of yourself, and that is not good.

Be humble.

Love the ones who come into your life. Don't push them away, there is a reason they are there.

Treasure every single moment.

Always try and look for the best in every situation, no matter how bad things might be, there is always room for good.

Take time to do things you love, because it's never wasted time if it
means something to you.

Be open to change. Its going to happen eventually, and it might just be for your good.

Don't let your fears take over. The Lord will never give you something you can't handle.

Look at your past and know that you wouldn't be who you are without the blessings and trials you went through to get to where you are today.

Make decisions only for you, not for someone else.

Seek to learn everything. You can never know too much information.

Be grateful for the things you have.

Know that it's okay to cry when you feel like life is overwhelming and you can't handle it anymore.

Try not to stress about things you can't change, it only makes you more stressed.

Love yourself for who you are.

Be happy with every little flaw you might have. They are just little things that make you....you.

Look beyond what you see right now....and what is there?

Trust in the Lord and all that he wants for you. His plan for you is better than the plan you have for yourself, the sooner you put ALL your trust in Him, the better you'll be.

But most of all, just do what you can to be happy!

Bryan "BJ" Benson

Our beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend Bryan Dean Benson, "BJ" passed away on November 28, 2009. He was born November 2, 1985 in Provo, Utah.

His incredible personality and great talents have touched our lives in so many ways. He loved music and shared his talents in singing and performing. He loved the outdoors---camping, hunting, fishing, horses, water and winter sports. He competed fiercely in motor-cross, baseball, and football.

BJ worked hard and creatively in whatever he did. He loved the excitement of the next big opportunity. His wonderful smile and fun-loving spirit brought joy to his family and friends. He was a true friend to everyone in his life. We are grateful for the enthusiasm, compassion, friendship, and love which BJ brought into our lives. Though we will miss him dearly, he is in the care of our unconditional loving Heavenly Father.

He is survived by his parents Bryan and Jeanne; brothers: Nathan (McKenna & niece, Kennadee), Brandon and Brady; sister: Carrissa; grandparents Norm and Eileen Sammis, Richard and Sue Kennedy, Dean and Pat Benson, and great grandmothers Blanche Benson, Lucille Halloran, and Eileen Murphy. *** BJ was one of my first dance partners growing up. Me, him, Alysse, and Casey we were all best friends growing up and had some pretty fun times. :) Bj was always the best. We lost touch for a few years and just this last May we got to see eachother after SO long. I'm grateful for the time i got to spend with him this summer. About a month or so ago was the last time i saw him. He will be greatly missed and i will never forget him. He was a very close friend of mine and will always be. He was amazing and had been through so much. He gave me great hope in myself that i can overcome anything! This past week has been hard to get through and very emotional for me, but I know one day i will see him again and i know he is now in a better place with our Heavenly Father. Love you friend! Miss you always.

...just keep going...

Sometimes life is crazy! It brings things in and takes things out so much! Its hard when you sit and watch the world around you move on with their lives and begin to grow and become better, stronger people. That's when you start to think...gee, what is it exactly that i'm doing wrong. In a way i feel like i have not moved in so long....i have taken inches here and there and my testimony grows little by little...but still, i feel as if i'm stuck. Stuck in this place that i can't get out of until.....well, i don't even know what. That's the worst part. I keep going because that is what i'm supposed to do. I keep working, i keep going to school,.i keep being a good daughter, sister, friend....and yet, there is still something missing. I'm trying to endure life well, just like we were aked to do...but it gets hard sometimes. So, because i don't know what to expect or think, i'm going to just keep going, and always rememeber to do what i can to make life happen. Not to worry so much, and help people along the way....Please don't read this and think, she's always so depressed. lol because that is not the case. I promise you. Sometimes when i get the feeling to write i just need to. I always feel better after ! :D

Anyways, on a happier note, i'm supposed to write a personal mission statement for my "seven habits of highly effective people" class....which by the way is THE best class...I LOVE IT! I am trying hard to find the best way to write my statement though....i want to say something that is me but also something i want others to know and something that will help someone maybe....i don't know. It's due in a few weeks, so we'll see. Hopefully if i love it, mayvbe i will share it on here.

I'm still here...no worries!

Wow, it has been nearly a month since i last wrote...i have been so busy. All i do is go to school, work, dance, do homework, sleep....and when i don't want to do those things, i hang out with friends and my family! Yay! Don't worry, i don't deprive myself of those things...they are imprtant! Well, I just want school to be over for the semester...its just about that time, but Thanksgiving is coming up, and thanks to family stuff...i get to have THE WHOLE WEEK OFF of work! Life will be beautiful!

Some things I'm thankful for:
-My AMAZING family
-My AWESOME friends...(new ones, old ones, dance ones, ward ones, work ones, random ones...ALL OF YOU!)
-I LOVE my ward, and ALL my friends in it! I have made SO SO SO many!
-My (for the most part) healthy body(as far as i have no disease or anything, i still have weight to lose...)
-facebook(i know, sounds lame. but for reals, without that, i woudn;t keep in touch with as many people as i do)
-My job....for the most part just the AWESOME people i work with, they rock!
-School..even though i depise it...haha
-------and i know there are plenty of other things...BUT for now, that's all.

What to do? What not to do?

The things on my mind lately. Last night i watched as my last best best best friend of like...10 years got married, how happy i am to have all my friends getting married, and as stoked as I am for them, it kinda bums me out too. Yeah, yeah, i know my time will come. But, its weird, because apart of me feels like there is something i need to do before i get married.
And, actually....i have the opportunity to possibly go to Florida and do the Disney College Program...I don't know for sure what i'll be doing, but yeah. I would be gone for 5 months(Jan-may) Downside....my sister will be having her baby, i may or may not have my job when i come back(i haven't even talked to my work, so i don't know FOR SURE, but i would want my job back when i got home) And, it really freaks me out to get up and leave my life, my family, my friends, my job....literally....MY ENTIRE LIFE to go there...but at the same time, I'm not dating anyone...(shocker...when am i ever? haha) So, atthis moment, that isn't holding me back... but I think i need to go, i think it would be good, and i think it would be fun. I guess i am just nervous, scared, i feel lost at this moment. All my old friends I hardly see, but i love my new friends( they are all younger than me, but hey, keeps me young!haha) And i love them ALL to death. But i do miss my old friends all the time, it just isn't the same now that they're ALL married, i feel like i need someone to fit in with them, how sad is that? I know that is not how they see it...but thats how i feel..

Well, i have some serious decisions to make in the next little while...and i'm not looking forward to the process of it all...working so much and going to school is kicking my butt!! But, right now, my life is going pretty good! I have tons of amazing people in my life, and so many friends i can go to for anything! :D I am grateful for all the blessings i have! I am happy with life at the moment!
